The Pessimists travel to 'Hell's Half Acre' this weekend to battle front running Young Gun Football in what is sure to be an epic encounter. The Pessimists believe that they have struck gold this week with the resurgance of running back Maurice Morris. Coach BJ Hudson insists that his squad will not be intimidated by the hostile environment, telling reporters that "I've seen better crowds at a Blue Raider basketball game." YGF is riding a modest two game winning streak and will look to maintain their position in the playoff chase. Coach Jason Young says that his team is not influenced by being a huge underdog in this game, stating that "I'll leave the betting lines to Vegas-you just leave the football to me and my men!" All things being equal, this game could be determined by each team's defensive effort.
Safety Blitz (-24) @ Maddawg's Tight End
Safety Blitz journeys south down I-65 to battle Maddawg's Tight End on the shores of the Duck River. This game marks the first encounter between a Campbell and Coach Miranda Campbell since undergoing her name change. Safety Blitz faces an uphill battle in this affair, as their opponent got off to a fast start on Thursday. When asked if he would show any mercy towards his newest family member, Coach Phillip Campbell fired up "The Game's" intro music, spewed water into the air, and promptly left the press conference room. Maddawg's Tight End is looking to end a five game winning streak at the expense of her BNL. Coach Miranda Campbell insistst that there will not be any hangover effect from drinking out of coconut shells for a week in Jamaica and that her team will be ready to play on Sunday. Look for this game to be determined by the ability of Matt Hasselbeck to put up comparable numbers to Big Ben.
Illegal Alien Babies (+4) @ Play Action Pass
In a game that has the makings to become an instant classic, the Illegal Alien Babies travel to Monterey to battle Play Action Pass. IAB will lean heavily on Tom Brady as he battles the incompetent Colts' defense on Sunday. Coach Darrell Campbell's biggest concern this week is his performance in the VA Golf Scramble as he attempts to steal the balls of all the old men on the course. PAP will have their high octane offense fired up and ready to go this week behind MVP candidate Drew Brees. Coach David Looper missed practice earlier this week to keep the scorebook for a Smyrna High basketball game, but he insists that his side job will not be a distraction. Look for this game to be determined by Matt Bryant's ability to keep pace with the crazy German Sebastian Janikowski.
Campbell's Cougars (-36) @ We Got Big TDs
Campbell's Cougars travels to Portland to battle We Got Big TDs in a pivotal matchup for both teams. Campbell's Cougars enter the contest as a huge favorite behind their three-headed monster at running back. Coach Matthew Campbell insists that his squad will not overlook their opponent despite Portland being dubbed with the title of "Losersville, TN" in a recent SI article. We Got Big TDs has entered desperation mode this week as they look to make a late season push towards the playoffs. Coach Tara Campbell has closed practice this week, not allowing her Big TDs to be seen by anyone, not even her husband. More to come on that story later. Look for this game to be determined by the flex position.
Riley's Vikings (+29) @ Toejam Football
Riley's Vikings will travel to Mule Country to battle front-running Toejam Football this weekend. Riley's Vikings enter the contest following a huge win last week that has them poised for a late season playoff push. Coach Adam Warren has been wheeling and dealing yet again, this time acquiring RBs Kevin Smith and DeAngelo Williams to add some punch to his rushing attack. Toejam Football is looking to tie the all-time league record winning streak with their seventh consecutive victory this week. Coach Zach Maddux has been tight lipped throughout the week, as is the norm for him. Look for this game to be determined by Laurent Robinson, as a big day from the breakout WR could offset the production of Tony Romo.
Tebow's Youth Group (+25) @ Carmichael's Crusaders
Tebow's Youth Group travels to the intramural fields on the campus of MTSU to battle Carmichael's Crusaders. TYG is riding a four game winning streak and is currently tied for the best record in the BHFFC. Coach Daniel Campbell does not believe that Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates will be distracted by the rumors surrounding Norv Turner, insisting that both players are eager to play for Jeff "Darth Vader" Fisher next season. Carmichael's Crusaders will once again be without first round draft choice Adrian Peterson this weekend. Coach Ethan Hudson has been rumored to be on suicide watch during a recent three game losing streak, but he has adamantly denied any truth to the allegations. Look for this game to be determined by the running back position.
